Your mat should be stored with the lying surface rolled outwards.

Please note that this yoga mat is NOT machine washable! Please wipe it with a cotton or microfiber cloth. This will make the process quicker and more environmentally friendly.

The foil in the packaging is there to protect your mat during delivery. It just makes me feel more comfortable.
